Income Tax Return Extended Till 31 December 2021

The General Tax Authority has issued circular 6/2021 on 30 August 2021, in which it has extended the period of submitting the Financial Statements and Income Tax Return in the Dhareeba system till 31 December 2021 for the companies that are owned 100% by Qatari and GCC citizens and exempted from the Income Tax.

According to the circular 2/2021 companies that are owned 100% by Qatari and GCC citizens and exempted from the Income Tax are supposed to file their return on the 31 August 2021. This extension gives the taxpayers another four months (till 31December 2021).

Delay to file Income Tax Return is subject to delay penalty of QAR 500 per day up to maximum of (QAR 180,000).
